The college currently has fifteen departments and offers eleven undergraduate courses in various disciplines of sciences and applied sciences. Some of the courses have the distinction of being offered in very few colleges of University of Delhi, which makes it a sought after destination for students with an eye for educational training in specialized subjects. Six new courses are in pipeline.
Besides the curriculum, our students are imparted various skills through several training and orientation programs, workshops and seminars in collaboration with corporate houses and other Indian and foreign Universities.We lay emphasis on research at undergraduate level. It not only provides hands on training to the students, but also exposes them to the rigor and excitement of research early in their lives and gives them an edge over their contemporaries. Undertaking research projects further help them in building confidence and gaining numerous personal skills and in making informed choices about their future. Hundreds of students have been trained under DU Innovation Projects and Star College Grant funded by UGC besides other research projects in just last few years. The meticulous training obtained has helped students to excel in their degree programs in college and to go on to earn prestigious scholarships to study in distinguished Indian and overseas Universities. We are proud to state that our alumni are not only pursuing higher education in best of the institutions across the county and abroad but also are very successful in their careers.
The college also provides a strong platform for extra-curricular activities and our students have done us proud in inter-college and inter-university competitions and have brought many accolades. There are several clubs and societies in the college dedicated to support and to hone the skills of our gifted students. These platforms and opportunities have enormously helped many of our alumni to carve a niche for themselves in unorthodox careers besides contributing in the development of their personality. Our college is proud of the very dedicated, well-qualified, young and enthusiastic faculty and non-teaching staff members who work hard and collaborate together to provide a wholesome learning environment for our students and for their all-round development. Our endeavour has always been to provide an integrated, all-encompassing education that emphasizes on academic, cultural, social, aesthetic and spiritual development of all students to make them enlightened, enthusiastic, committed and humane global citizens.
